I am always needing a cutting board, almost every meal requires some amount of cutting up a meat, vegetable or fruit. The Dual Purpose Bamboo Kitchen Cutting Board is 14 x 11 x 0.75 inches and can be used for cutting up or serving food. The side for cutting up food works very nicely for me, it is big enough to cut up a fair amount of any kind of food. If I cut up any fruit that has a lot of juice, its nice that it has the groove that will catch the juice, so it prevents it from running onto the counter and making a mess. The other side can be used for a serving tray, as long as its not anything consisting of liquid. I could use it to put crackers, cheese, fruits and cut up vegetables on, for a serve yourself tray, I wouldn't want to try to put anything with liquid, because of the surface not having a smooth surface. The cutting board is made from 100% premium bamboo with no added dyes or stains. The cutting side of the board is light in color, with a natural vein running through it and has a smooth surface that makes it easy to cut things up. The serving side of the board is dark in color and has a natural look to it, with a slightly raised vein running through it. Bamboo is stronger than traditional hardwood cutting boards & is gentle on knives. Bamboo is naturally anti-microbial and because it is less porous it prevents food and bacteria from forming.
