I received this from Mom (Joana B.) I have to say it is a pretty cool gadget. I hooked it up to my TV first and had to plug it in, so if you try a usb port and it doesn't light up blue use a usb adapter and pug into regular wall outlet. I plugged into wall and plugged into the hdmi port. The TV picked up the Ezcast screen and I was able to open photos in the app on my phone and view on the TV. That is way cool because if you want to show friends or family pictures instead of everyone crowding around my phone to try to see I can just show everyone at the same time on the TV without being crowded plus the pictures are bigger so you can see them easier. I also connected to my computer and that worked also. On my computer I didn't need to plug into the wall, I just plugged into the usb port and it light up immediately. I plan to set up my personal hotspot through my phone company so I can explore the other features of this item. It will be cool for the kids to be able to watch youtube videos from the phone on the TV and it will be cool when we figure out how to watch movies since they do not have cable upstairs but this way they will be able to enjoy movies on a screen bigger then the phone or tablet.
***I received this item for free in exchange for my honest and unbiased opinion, which is what I have given***
This is the 1byone 5GHz Wireless HDMI Streaming Media Player. The Media Player is very well constructed and I would of loved to been able to use this. I have always had good experiences with all of 1byone products, but for some reason I have not been able to get this Media Player to work. I hooked it up like the instructions said, First I connected it to the Port on the TV, downloaded the EZ cast app. on the Laptop, then I paired the the two together. After doing all of that, I connected to the Wifi on the internet. I even researched for information on how to use the Media Player on the internet, but to no avail. So as you can guess, by this time I am frustrated and tired of trying, so I am going to package it up, send it to my daughter and let her try to use it. After she figures it out or not, then she can do an update, on this Media Player. Click button below to see the product.
