After I shampoo and dry my hair, it is very wavy. I hate my hair being wavy so after it's dry, I have to straighten it with the flat iron. I've been using a 2-inch flat iron because my hair is usually a little longer, but when I have my hair cut, I need to use a smaller flat iron because the 2-inch doesn't work very well for the shorter hair. I have a smaller flat iron that I use on my hair but it's an older model, and it tends to make my hair too hot, so I decided to try the Apalus Hair Straightener because it has the fiberglass fabric heating plate that helps lock in moisture and has uniform heating. I like that the flat iron is lightweight and also has the longer heating plate, so it covers a bigger area of my hair and cuts down on the time it takes to do the flat iron. It has three temperature settings: Auto constant temperature: 365℉(180ºc) for delicate colored fine hair, Customized set: 410℉(210ºc) for natural texture hair, and Customized set: 450℉(235ºc) for thick or wavy hair. I use the 360-degree setting, and it does a good job of straightening my hair and doesn't seem to burn my hair any. The flat iron also has the energy savings technology and goes into standby mode (250 ℉) if I walk away and don't pick it up for 5 minutes, then it will shut off after 60 minutes.
